2022 Mybo Roster
Kristin Treichel
Height: 1.37 m
Countries visited: 10+
40 yard dash: 4.53
Bio:
Kristin joined Sir Mybo in 2015 as an undrafted free agent, playing her entire rookie season without a matching jersey. Despite her unheralded start, she went on to lead the team in D’s and has earned a reputation as a lock-down defender. Apparently she has broken at least one bone in her career, but, always the tough cookie, Kristin has probably played though countless minor fractures and ligament tears. Away from the team, Kristin spends an average of 13 hours per day working out or playing soccer. She also enjoys vodka, volleyball, the Packers, and makeup.
Lani Jensen
Height: 4 Foot SomethingFavorite Paul: BolanowskiDream Job: A Troll Under A Bridge
Bio:
Growing up Lani was told eating her veggies would help her to become to be tall someday. She went all in and became a vegetarian only to realize perhaps she had been lied to. Once she came to terms with the fact that she would never grow out of shopping for clothes in the kids section, Lani decided to focus on increasing her speed instead. She spent countless hours training and running becoming so fast that she thought she would never find someone faster than her, that’s when she met Paul. It was love at first sight when he ran past her, she couldn’t take her eyes off of his gazelle like strides. She and Paul turned their attention to Ultimate and joined forces with Mybo. Lani is well on her way to becoming a Mybo superstar, now if only she would show up for more than half the games.
Luke Bodnar
Age: 21 (His teenstache says it all)Weight: 140 lbs (he needs to eat more)College: UW Madison School of MursingBio:
Luke Bodnar recently retired from a solo rap career (you may have heard of Eminem. That is not him, but could have been) and currently spends his days saving lives. Luke joined Mybo along with his now ex-wife Brittany as a way to rekindle the passion in his marriage. After the first point in the first game, they realized the chemistry just was not there so Brittany moved on to Mark (of course). On a positive note, Luke moved on and was able to pursue his true passion of owning every shoe ever manufactured while also playing ultimate on the side. On the negative note, Brittany did kick Luke out of the house and he was forced to live in a manhole down by the river. Ultimate has also inspired Luke's tatoo habit. He gets a bird tattoo to commemorate every time he skys someone on the ultimate field. Due to all of the people he has skyed, rumor has it his chest is covered in bird tattoos.
Matt Schuster
College: Somewhere orange Nickname: The Sly Fox
Favorite letter: J
Bio:
Matt Schuster was born in a hospital surrounded by corn fields in Iowa. As a child of the 80s and early 90s, it is believed that a young Schuster unironically wore Zubaz pants and faded denim jackets. His lifelong interest in flying saucers morphed from an obsession of UFOs into a love for 175 gram disc gliding through the air. The Sly Fox’s love for ultimate frisbee reached new heights in college, when he met the love of his life, Jessica. In fact their first encounter was on the frisbee field when Jessica’s team (the Literate Pirates) lost to Matt’s Discternity Squad in a fall 2002 open mixed tournament in South Carolina. Matt’s relationship with Jessica pushed him to grow in many ways, as a person, a professional, and an ultimate player.
The couple moved to Madison in 2015 and were immediately on the radar of many area teams. After a highly competitive recruitment, their son James convinced Matt and Jessica to sign a 3-year deal with Mybo, a new and up-and-coming MUFA team. Matt (and Jessica) had an immediate impact on the team due to his genuine smile, calm demeanor, and precise handler cuts and, along with their sons James and Jacob, are considered to be Mybo’s First Family.
Paul Bolanowski
Vertical leap: 46"
1st Ironman time: 6:57:13
Languages Spoken: English & Handanese
Bio:
Paul was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on a cold January evening. Legend has it, that even in birth, those who were present at the hospital reported that there was an “inexplicable occurrence” in the delivery room. Some said that there was an “ethereal glow” that surrounded him. Some say that Paul was born with actual wings, and flew out on his own. Sounds crazy, but we can at least agree that something unusual happened that night.
As Paul grew up, he enjoyed the spoils offered in Milwaukee, and realized that he really enjoyed running. At the ripe age of 18 ½ , Paul ran the Madison Ironman race, and blew the minds of all with a record completion time of 6:57:13. With this, the National Ironman Association cancelled the national championships in favor of declaring Paul the greatest athlete that has ever lived, and awarded him with first prize, and more importantly, a lifetime membership to Dave and Busters.
Towards the end of November, Paul had decided to run another marathon. For these marathons, Paul usually practices his sprinting Lance Armstrong style, being last to leave and first to finish. So around the 14th mile of the marathon, Paul noticed a lovely young woman with great form. After watching her strides, he realized that she was his soulmate. He ran up next to her, and ran with her for the rest of the race, never once breaking stride with her. She looked strangely at him a few times, but ignored him. After they finished, she asked, “Why didn’t you pick up your pace- clearly you could have won this race five times over.” Paul looked back to her and said, “When it comes to love, I’m in it for the long run, want to join me?” At that moment, Lani was done for.
Lani and Paul became inseparable partners, and have even learned the language of “handanese” which is a compilation of fist bumps, high fives and love taps . There is currently only five other creatures who are fluent in the language in the world, including the infamous C3PO, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Kanye West.
Paul eventually moved to Madison. In their spare time, Lani and Paul continued to run together. Lani realized that running with him could be quite complicated, as he could quite literally run forever. To help Paul stay healthy, she decided to sign them both up for the Madison Ultimate Frisbee fall league. Paul took to ultimate quickly, destroying his defenders easily, and scoring efficiently. The only problem he had, was it wasn’t always easy finding the right people to help him score. Sometimes the hucks weren’t deep enough or sometimes he couldn’t get the disc because he wasn’t on the field. He focused on solving these problems everyday- but it seemed fruitless. Until one spring day, he met the big and friendly giant himself, Dane Gottschall. Dane had been wandering the United States for years in search for a fearless receiver that could catch any Frisbee like a bite of a tiger. And when Dane met Paul, he knew he had found his man. Paul and Lani joined his team, Madam Mybo, and he’s been legend ever since.

Bench press max: 425 lbs.

Paul is quicker than most NFL players with a forty yard dash time of 4.25 seconds flat, even when he forgets his cleats.
Sarah Hopefl
Age: Recently legalHeight: 6'1" (taller than you think)College: WisconsinBio:Sarah is a recent graduate of UW (so obviously her favorite color is red) and currently works as a radio producer/host (she is essentially the boss) when she is not playing Frisbee. Despite being on 18 other ultimate teams last summer, she joined Senor Mybo as a way to connect with her subordinates (Liz and Alejandro) so (in the words of Michael Scott) they would fear how much they loved her. Her playing style is fearless and all opponents recognize if they come across the middle looking to catch the disc, Sarah will be there to deliver the pain.
